SARAHSVILLE -- Visiting Barnesville High erupted for 17 hits and 30 runs in a 30-9 rout over host Shenandoah in softball action on Monday.
The Lady Shamrocks tallied 10 first-inning runs and added 13 in the third to cruise past the Lady Zeps.
Raegan Hanlin earned the win for Barnesville fanning six Lady Zeps and walking three while Kara Trenner took the loss for Shenandoah with four free passes and a pair of Ks.
Hunter Miller belted a home run for the Lady 'Rocks (5-4) with two runs batted in while Sarah Powell and Baylie MacMillan collected three hits. Erin Hannahs, Brianna Bohandy, Abby Starr and Chloe Campbell all chipped in with a pair of hits.
Trenner blasted a three-run home run for the Lady Zeps (0-12) in the loss while Brooke Arick, Whitni Blubaugh, and Kali Chicwak all added a pair of hits.
BARNESVILLE -- Host Barnesville High used a seven-run first inning to coast past Beallsville for a 12-2 five-inning victory on Wednesday.
Chloe Campbell (2-1) took advantage of the early offensive support to pick up the pitching win for the Lady 'Rocks, finishing with five Ks and no walks.
Baylie MacMillan paced the Barnesville offense with a double, two singles and five RBIs, while Erin Hannahs chipped in with a pair of basehits with two RBIs. Hunter Miller and Sam Arigoni each contributed RBI singles for the Lady 'Rocks.
Olivia Muncy took the pitching loss for Beallsville, but led the hitting attack with two singles and an RBI.
Barnsville improves to 6-4 on the season with the home win.
BARNESVILLE - An ugly fourth inning proved costly for host Barnesville High in a 14-8 loss to River on Thursday.
The Lady Shamrocks entered the fourth frame with a comfortable 6-2 lead, but the Lady Pilots surged to a seven-run inning to steal the victory.
Riley Lollathin paced River with two home runs and four RBI. Candice Caldwell collected a triple, tow singles and three RBI while Emelie Heater and Livi Rose both had three singles and an RBI.
Bailey MacMillan led the way for the Barnesville offense with a home run, single and two RBI. Abby Starr collected a triple, single and two RBI and Chloe Campbell had a double, single and two RBI while Abby Gibbons and Erin Hannahs each had two singles.
Bailey Caldwell got the pitching win for River. Regan Hanlon and Hannahs split time on the mound for the Lady 'Rocks, combining for three Ks and eight walks with Hanlon suffering the loss.

OLD WASHINGTON -- Buckeye Trail High rode the two-hit shutout pitching of Jenni Carmichael to a 4-0 victory over Union Local on Friday.
Carmichael (3-0) had four strikeouts and two walks in leading the Lady Warriors to their ninth win in 11 outings. She also had a double, single and two RBI at the plate.
Alexis Wheeler contributed a triple, single and an RBI for Trail while Hannah Smith had two singles.
Kaden Mercer and Danielle Merritt each had a single for UL.
