Buckmasters sponsor veteran hunt

The Buckeye Buckmasters Chapter of the Buckmasters American Deer Foundation recently partnered with Dakota Outfitters to honor and support our nation’s military veterans by hosting their 2nd annual “Hunt of a Lifetime” for one lucky area veteran. Applications were accepted from all veterans, both able bodied and disabled alike, living in either Ohio or West Virginia.

This year’s lucky winner by random drawing was Terry “Moose” Moore form Moundsville, W.Va.. Terry volunteered for service in the US Army out of high school and then served three years overseas during the Vietnam War from 1967-1970.

Terry has been a lifelong outdoorsman, enjoying both hunting and fishing. His best friend since childhood, Ed Wolodkin from Moundsville as well, applied for the hunt on behalf of Terry. Ed was able to join his buddy “Moose” at Dakota’s beautiful lodge, a few miles West of Barnesville, Ohio, back in October and share the whole experience with him. Terry got to prove his rifleman skills in the woods by harvesting a beautiful 13 point, 170 class whitetail buck with one, well placed shot.

The Buckeye Buckmasters would like to personally thank Terry for his service to our country and also Jim Moses and Eric Stonecipher from Dakota Outfitters for making the event possible.
