Lady Shamrocks fall to Harrison Central, 56-47

CADIZ — Harrison Central High pulled away from visiting Barnesville with a strong fourth quarter surge to claim a 56-47 victory on Saturday.

Early on, the game was close, with the host Lady Huskies gaining an 8-7 advantage after one period. Barnesville (4-9) used a 15-10 second quarter burst to move on top, 22-18, at the half and then increased the lead to 38-32 after three rounds before Harrison Central exploded with a 24-10 finish to claim the eight-point win.

Kara Dunfee topped Harrison Central with 17 points, with Katie Ellzy contributing 1 tallies and Jessie Ledger adding 11.

For Barnesville, Shayla Markovich was the high scorer with 15 markers, with top support from Layna Broomhall with 10.

NEXT—Barnesville entertains Buckeye Trail on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
