BELMONT COUNTY State Route 647 will be closed for 21 days, starting next Tuesday, July 25th, just west of Martins Ferry for a slide repair project.
Traffic will be detoured on SR 150 west from Mt. Pleasant to U.S. Route 250 east at Bridgeport, then north on SR 7 back to SR 647 (West Hanover Street) in Martins Ferry, and reverse.
ODOT's contractor for this $269,000 project is Ohio-West Virginia Excavating Co., and the completion date is mid-August.
Also, Kirkwood Heights Road will be closed for a slide repair project next Monday, July 24, for 30 days between Bridgeport and County Road 214.
Traffic will be detoured on S. Lincoln Avenue to SR 7 south to Kilgore Road (CR 32) back to Kirkwood Road, and reverse.
Cost of the project is $152,000.
