The Walton Retirement Home, faithfully serving the Barnesville community with family-style care for generations, announces its 2017 Annual Fund appeal. Focused on raising funds for a decked garden area to benefit residents, staff and visitors, the goal is to raise $5,000. The area will provide an improved view from the dining room and several residents' rooms as well as a place for family members to visit with loved ones. Providing for easy wheelchair access, birdwatching and outdoor group activities, it also will serve as a peaceful place for reflection and prayer in warmer months.
Walton Retirement Home was the first "home for the aged" in Belmont County. It began its service to the community 73 years ago in 1944 and continues today as a faith-based, not for profit organization where all residents are cherished. Donations may be made by mail to Walton Retirement Home Annual Fund, 1254 E. Main Street, Barnesville, OH 43713 or online at www.waltonhome.org/donate. Walton Retirement Home is a recognized nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
