Captina Creek display to be featured at Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library

ST. CLAIRSVILLE – The Captina Conservancy and the Belmont Soil & Water Conservation District invite you to visit their display featuring Captina Creek, a natural wonder right in our backyard! The display will be located at the Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library during the months of March, April, and May. Come and see beautiful watershed photographs by local photographer Tom Carpenter. The display will also feature information about the Captina Creek watershed, conservation opportunities, and upcoming public events for you and your family.

Captina Creek is comparable to some of the best quality streams in Ohio, and has been identified as an Outstanding State Water due to its exceptional biodiversity. The Captina Conservancy is a local, nonprofit organization with the mission to promote and engage in the conservation and restoration of the Captina Creek watershed, through education, voluntary conservation agreements, and acquisitions.
