Man arrested after opening fire in Bethesda mobile home park

BETHESDA — Bethesda man was arrested two weekends ago after allegedly opening fire randomly inside the Pleasant Valley Mobile Home Park late Saturday night, Jan. 26 near Bethesda.

Bethesda and Barnesville Police Departments, the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the scene after reports were received that Richard T. Kyle, 26, was allegedly shooting stolen handguns. Kyle was charged with aggravated burglary, four counts of inducing panic, six counts of child endangerment and using weapons under disability while intoxicated. He is being held on $51,000 bond. He was officially charged in Western Division Court on Monday, Jan. 28 and was being held in Belmont County Jail. Kyle had previous convictions of theft, disorderly conduct and assault.
