Weekend crash claims life of Barnesville man John Lowe Special to The Enterprise A crash on Friday claimed the life of a Barnesville resident. In Belmont County at about 2:25 p.m., a Chevrolet Camaro driven by Christopher Ashby, Barnesville, was traveling on Pipe Creek Road near Shadyside when Ashby lost control of the car. The car went off the left side of the road and overturned. Ashby, who was not wearing a seatbelt was ejected from the vehicle, which then rolled over him. He was pronounced dead at the scene by a member of the Belmont County Coroner's office. A passenger in the car, Bobbie Roeder of Bellaire, was wearing a seatbelt and was uninjured. The investigation is continuing.
