Local girls competing in 2010 Queens of Queens
There are 22 Queens representing high schools throughout the Ohio Valley. Once again, $5,000 in scholarships will be awarded to the top five place winners including Miss Congeniality. The announcement of the winners will be at half time of the Rudy Mumley All-Star Football Classic on Sunday, July 25, at Wheeling Island Stadium.
The Queen of Queens Pageant will be held on Friday, July 23, at 7 p.m. at the WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, WV. Tickets for this competition may be purchased at the door the night of the performance for $5.
Masters of Ceremonies for this event will be Allison Latos and Jeff Bowers from WTOV-9. Bodkin, Wilson, & Kozicki, certified public accountants, are the official tabulators of the scores for the pageant.
Bob Koch is the All-Star Game Director, and Reva Icard is the Queen of Queens Director. Everett Briggs is the official OVAC photographer.
The All-Star week kicks off on Sunday, July 18, with the football players reporting to camp at West Liberty University. The cheerleaders and the McDonald's Alll-Star Band report on Wednesday, July 21. Also on Wednesday, the "Evening With the Stars" Dinner will be held at the White Palace at Wheeling Park. Reservations are required for the event. The Queen of Queens Pageant is on Friday, followed by the Pep Rally on Saturday evening at 6 p.m. at Russek Field, West Liberty University. Teams and Queens will be introduced, and the All-Star Band and the All-Star Cheerleaders from both Ohio and WV will perform. There is no admission fee for the Pep Rally. The week will culminate on Sunday with the All-Star Football Classic. Kick-off is at 7:15 p.m.
The entire 2010 Rudy Mumley All-Star Football Classic including the McDonald's All-Star Band will be televised live on Sunday, July 25, starting at 7 p.m.
