Unique Quilts of Julia Swan and Bev Gray at Ohio Hills Folk Festival Julia Swan well known designer and quilter from the Cambridge area will display one of her quilts at the Ohio Hills Folk festival Quilt Show. Julia has shown her quilts and won National Recognition in many shows. She will be exhibiting a quilt she designed and created for one of her grandchildren. Another unique quilt will be Emily Roe' Queen Quilt. Emily was the Ohio Hills Folk Festival Queen in 2005 and her quilt is like no other one to be displayed at the festival. Her quilt was designed and made by Bev Gray, well known area quilter who also made Emily's eight queen dresses which Emily wore to festivals all over the state of Ohio. Each dress was carefully taken apart and the pieces were used to make the quilt which was presented to Emily by her parents Carl and Debi Roe on her 20th birthday. Emily is presently a Junior at West Liberty College majoring in Dental Hygiene and Education. A special quilt created for the past 100th Folk Festival made by Bev Gray and raffled off at that time will also appear for all to enjoy. People who wish to display their quilts are welcome to being their items to the Central Christian Church in Quaker City, Ohio, Tuesday, July 7 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Pictured: Emily Roe with her Queen's Quilt.
