Active military, veterans, retirees, police officers, firefighters, paramedics (full-time and volunteer) Wounded Warriors, and families of those who have given "The Ultimate Sacrifice" are extended this special invitation from Jim and Sue Patron, owners of Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, together with surrounding communities throughout Ohio, as Patriot Day -- Salute to Service honors these brave men and women.
Unknown to these men and women, they have been and continue to be a blessing as they protect and serve our country, our communities. Let us now be a blessing to each and every one of them, as we show our appreciation and undeniable gratitude.
They face what we fear! They see what we do not have to! They give their lives for country and community. A very special program has been planned with Ginny Favede sharing Opening Remarks, Mindy Wilson (Flushing, Ohio) will sing The National Anthem, Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh, Deputy Sheriff, and Quaker City Firefighter will be the Keynote Speaker, and a few surprises as well. There will be a Remembrance of 9-11, photo tributes, and time for everyone to share, reflect, and honor.
This special event will take place Saturday, Sept. 9 at 11 a.m. at Union Local Middle School Auditorium.
Make this day, a special one for these men and women, who so many times feel like quitting. Then they remember why they started.
They heard the call when the Lord said, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And they replied, "Here am I. Send me." (Isaiah 6:8)
