WHEELING To mark May as Skin Cancer Awareness Month, Wheeling Hospital's Center for Skin Cancer and Melanoma is offering a limited number of free skin cancer screenings.
The screenings will be performed at the center from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, May 15. There are a limited number of openings available, so appointments are required.
The Center is located in the hospital's Tower 1, Suite 101.
"We have come a long way over the years in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers, such as melanoma. Our staff only deals with these types of issues. We even take periodic photographs of your skin to continuously keep an eye on moles that may be associated with skin cancer. Come see us if you have a mole in question," said Dr. E. Phillips Polack, center director.
