DELAWARE -- Anna Davies of Saint Clairsville, Ohio, has been awarded a competitive Theory-to-Practice Grant from Ohio Wesleyan University. The grants support research, internship, service, and cultural-immersion opportunities throughout the world.
The Theory-to-Practice Grant awarded to Davies supports a project titled "Who are Museums For?" The project will be conducted in Finland with faculty members Dr. Nancy Comorau and Erin Fletcher in July 2017.
Since launching the Theory-to-Practice Grant program in 2009, Ohio Wesleyan has awarded nearly $1.67 million in university-funded grants to the campus community, enabling more than 800 OWU students, faculty, and staff to conduct research or complete special projects in more than 60 countries.
Ohio Wesleyan's Theory-to-Practice Grant program is competitive, with submissions evaluated by an advisory board of faculty, staff, and students.
The grants are part of The OWU Connection, Ohio Wesleyan's signature program to help students connect academic theories and concepts learned in the classroom with meaningful, real-world experiences that prepare them for success and leadership in today's global society.
