Chautauqua Homecoming Days & Bethesda Festival July 9-11

The Chautauqua Homecoming Days & Bethesda Festival will be held July 9-11 at Epworth Park in Bethesda, Ohio.

Take a stroll down memory lane and relive the feelings of the days of yore at this historic Methodist Campground.

Stroll along the lake, enjoy the beautiful fountain and reminisce under the majestic oaks.

A full weekend of events will include:

Saturday, July 9

8 a.m. White Elephant Sale

8 a.m. **Concession Stand Open

8 - 8:30 a.m. "Footprints in the Park" Walk @- Epworth Center

9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Health Fair @- Epworth Center

9 a.m. Craft Vendors - Antique Vendors - Bake Sale

9 a.m. - 5 p.m. "Spirit of America" miniature train rides

10:15 a.m. Bicycle Decorating Contest Judging (Ages 13 and under at old grade school)

11a.m. Festival Parade (10 a.m. line up at old grade school)

11:30 a.m. Kids Treasure Hunt at Epworth Center

Noon Chicken B-B-Q Dinner at Methodist Church

1 p.m. Food (Brats) at the auditorium

1 - 2 p.m. Fishing Contest (ages 12 & under)

2:30 - 3:30 p.m. Children's Games (ages 10 and under) at the gazebo

2 p.m. Country, Blue Grass ..............The Shuman's

7 p.m. Contemporary Country.................Haley Watson

**Visit the concession stand - -enjoy sausage gravy and biscuits or doughnuts and coffee while browsing the White Elephant sale. Face painting and snow cones will also be available there.

Sunday , July 10

10:45 a.m. Morning worship - Auditorium with United Methodist Church Pastor Tom Detling

11:30 a.m. **Concession Stand Open

Noon Spaghetti dinner at park entrance

Noon Antiques vendors and craft vendors continue

Noon White Elephant Sale and crafts continue

Noon "Spirit of America" miniature train rides.

Noon *Hog Roast - pork dinner

11a.m. - 2 p.m. *Bethesda Auto Show registration sponsored by: 12 - 4 p.m. *Bethesda Auto Show

Music by DJ Frank Prebec, food and 50/50 raffle

(*Corner of Lake and Virginia streets)

1p.m. Food (brats) at auditorium

1-4 p.m. Tour of cottages -Purchase tickets near concession stand


2 p.m. Blue Grass..................................Almost Famous

**At the concession stand: chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, coney dogs, kraut dogs, sloppy joes, baked beans, potato salad, apple dumplings, root beer floats, desserts, ice cream treats, hot fudge sundae and more.
