BAMA big tent revival Aug. 29 - Sept.1 The Barnesville Area Ministerial Association (B.A.M.A.) has announced that the organization will be sponsoring the 3rd annual BIG TENT REVIVAL, Sunday-Wednesday, August 29-September 1, along State Route 147 between the Kentucky Fried Chicken and Dollar General stores on the east end of town. The outdoor Christian worship services will begin at 7 p.m. each evening. This year's theme for the revival services is "The Holy Spirit" and will feature different preachers each evening as well as various musicians and worship leaders from area churches. Confirmed participants thus far are Pastor Jean Cooper of the Somerton and Jerusalem United Methodist churches, Pastor Rodney West of the First Baptist Church, Pastor Richard Cox of the Main Street and Batesville United Methodist churches, Pastor Andrew Woods of the First Presbyterian Church, Pastor Ed Eberhart of the First Christian Church, Pastor Robert Kester of the Barnesville Assembly of God, and Pastor Jeff Burns of the Hendrysburg-Sewellsville-Oak Grove charge of the United Methodist Church. Tuesday, August 31, has been designated as "Youth Night" and will feature a bonfire with refreshments following the service for youth of all ages. The community is invited to attend these non-denominational services and celebrate our common faith in Jesus Christ.
