The Barnesville Boys Basketball team will be hosting a chicken barbecue, 3:3 basketball and cornhole tournament at the Somerton Community Park on Saturday, July 31, beginning at 11 a.m.. Chicken dinners are being prepared by Peach Broomhall and are $8. The dinners include drink and dessert. Tickets may be purchased from any boys basketball player. The 3:3 basketball tournament will run in two divisions, boy and girl and three age groups: 12 and under, 13-15 year-olds and 16 and up. Prizes will be awarded to the top team in each division.
The Cornhole tournament is an open tournament, single elimination. The cost to participate in either tournament is $5 per player. There will be a meeting for all basketball parents to plan for this event on Wednesday, July 14 at 6 p.m.
Additionally, we are in need of workers and donations.

The Schwan's food truck will be conducting a parking lot sale on Saturday, July 24 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. in front of Flag Floors. The truck will be open for sales, in addition to delivering pre-sale items. Order forms for pre-sale items may be obtained from any Barnesville Boys Basketball player. Additionally, you may pick up an order form by calling 391-6072. All proceeds benefit the boys basketball program.
