The final program of the 34th season of SHOWCASE 2017 Concert Series in Barnesville in coming up on Thursday, Aug. 3 with a 7 p.m. show at Community Arts Place by Pavlov Polka Pals of Cambridge. The duo, consisting of guitarist, Dick Pavlov and accordionist Werner Ziemann, will do a polka and variety music program mixing traditional European melodies with a modern electronic touch.

Both have each had many years of musical experience in their backgrounds. Pavlov played mandolin, string bass, classical guitar, banjo in years gone by in such groups as square dance, folk, ragtime, Dixieland, etc. Accordionist, Ziemann, was born in Berlin, Germany and came to USA in 1946. He has played at numerous weddings, parties, night clubs, besides touring in Europe.

A food stand will be open. Those coming to the program should bring their own lawn chairs. In case of rain, events will be moved indoors to the Little Rocks Learning Center (former Grange Hall) on Shamrock Drive. Donations are appreciated.

Last Thursday evening's show was held indoors by Roz and Lynn of Dillonvale. Poetry by Steve (Easy) Whitacre was printed in the programs.

At the conclusion of the concert, floral gifts from Blossoms of Barnesville were won by Wayne Jenewein of Jerusalem, Marilyn Gregg of Senecaville, Jessica Ferdinando of Madison, and Donna Moore of Barnesville.
