Designer Bag and Vendor Bingo

Tri-County Help Center, Inc. is having a Designer Bag and Vendor Bingo on Saturday, May 6 from 12-:30 p.m. at Marion Hall, St. Mary's Catholic Church; St. Clairsville, OH 43950. Doors open at noon and games begin at 1 p.m.

Vendors will be set-up around the room to exhibit items and take orders. Vendors so far include: Premier Jewelry, Scentsy, LuLa Roe, Lime Light, Trades of Hope. All Bingo prizes will be designer handbags valued at $200-$600 from Coach, Kate Spade, and Michael Kors. A total of 10 games plus the coverall will be played. Tickets are $25 for 10 games; Coverall is $3; 50/50 tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the day.

Tri-County Help Center, Inc. provides services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and those living with mental illness, in Belmont, Harrison, and Monroe counties. TCHC is a private, nonprofit agency providing counseling, safe emergency shelter, 24/7 hotline, legal advocacy and community awareness and prevention services since 1979.

UL Alumni Association fundraiser

The Union Local Alumni Association is having a fundraiser at Denny's restaurant on April 26 from 4-10 p.m. Denny's will donate 10 percent of your check to the Union Local Alumni with all proceeds benefiting Union Local students. Please come and support Union Local.

Longaberger Bingo benefit for Cody Szabo

A Longaberger Bingo benefit for Cody Szabo will be held on Sunday, May 21 at 2 p.m. at the Barnesville Elks Lodge. Cody is currently enrolled as a freshman at Barnesville High School and has recently been diagnosed with an undetermined type of cancer. He is the son of Michelle and Steve Szabo.

Hoot N Holler planned for May 20

The Barnesville FFA will be holding their annual Hoot N Holler on May 20 at Barnesville Memorial Park. Events at the park begin at 10 a.m. Additional details will be printed in future editions of the Enterprise.

Union Local BOE meeting April 20

The Union Local School District Board of Education will hold their regular monthly meeting on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 6 p.m. in the Middle School Auditorium.

Barnesville Garden Club meeting

The first meeting for the Barnesville Garden Club will be held on Wednesday, April 19 at the Barnesville Library Annex on North Chestnut Street at 7:30 p.m.

CBAR meeting April 20

The Concerned Barnesville Area Residents (CBAR) will meet on Thursday, April 20 at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Library Annex, 611 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville. CBAR is a grassroots organization focused on addressing the environmental risks posed by shale gas development in our area.

Hospital Aux. sponsoring uniform sale

The Barnesville Hospital Auxiliary will be sponsoring a uniform sale on Thursday, April 20 from 9 a.m. 3 p.m. in the Classroom/Boardroom.

Coin Club meeting

The Barnesville Coin Club will meet Sunday, April 23 at 2 p.m. in the Senior Citizens Center located at 229 E. Main St., Barnesville. Doors at 12:30 p.m. In addition to the regular meeting, there will be a coin auction and 50/50 drawing. Members are asked to bring coins for the coin auction.

The very first meeting minutes of the Barnesville Coin Club were found sealed in an album in perfect condition. It is dated January 3, 1963. This is very exciting news and it will be read at our April 23 meeting. Our thanks from the Barnesville Coin Club goes out to the early members of our coin club who preserved the first meeting minutes of the club.

The meetings are open to the public.

Tack Auction April 29

A tack auction, sponsored by the Belmont County Saddle Club, will be held on Saturday, April 29 at the Belmont Gymnasium, 321 3rd St., Belmont, OH 43718. Spring Quarter Auction

The St. Paul Lutheran Church Annual Spring Quarter Auction will be held on Friday, April 28 at the Church, 56381 National Rd., Bridgeport, OH 43912. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the auction begins at 6:30 p.m.

Weyer Chapter 15, OES Annual Inspection

Weyer Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star will hold their annual inspection on Thursday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the Masonic Hall in Centerville, State Route 147. Honored Member District Charities Director Candy Thompson, inspecting. Officer will be Deputy Grand Matron Eleanor Wilson. Honor Guests: Past Grand Patron Richard Wilson, Associate Grand Matorn Sandy Herman, and Grand Representative to Vermont, Crystal Dixon. Worthy Matron Bonnie Baley and Worthy Patron Wallace Malolepzy will preside. All sisters and brothers welcome to attend.

Stamp show and bourse April 22

The Tuscora Stamp Club of Tuscarawas County is sponsoring a stamp show and bourse on Saturday, April 22 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

It will be held at the Tuscora Park Pavilion at Tuscora Park, 161 Tuscora Ave. N.W., New Philadelphia.

There will be stamp exhibits and dealers to serve the needs of all collectors. Admission is free.

Starting at 4 p.m., there will be an auction of stamps, supplies, and philatelic material.

Spring craft bazaar at Astoria Place

A spring craft bazaar will be held at Astoria Place of Barnesville on Saturday, April 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vendors will include: Pure Romance, Paparazzi, Jamby, Usbourne books, Rodam & Fields, Unique, Scentsy, Homemade Farmhouse Crafts, and LuLaRoe. The Activity Department will be selling soup beans, cornbread, homemade noodles, hot chicken sandwiches and baked goods. All proceeds go to the Activity Department for supplies and outings. Wheeling Civic Garden Center, Oglebay park, will hold its annual "Day With Herbs" on Friday, May 5 at the Pine Room, Oglebay Park. An herbal luncheon and guest speaker Judith M. Toscano, ND is a health professional with an extensive and diverse background. She uses her knowledge and experience to motivate and empower people to make healthy lifestyle decisions. She holds certificate in Green Live Food Cuisine, Conscious Eating and Expanding Culinary Joy.

The2 3rd Annual Herb Day luncheon will include fresh vegetables and crackers with dips, a main course, dessert, and herbal teas.
