BELMONT -- Come along and join Rydell High's Class of 1959's duck-tailed, hot-rodding "Burger Palace Boys" and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking "Pink Ladies" in bobby socks and pedal pushers as you experience the sights and sounds of the 1950s in this rollicking musical.
The Union Local High School Drama Club will perform the broadway version of Grease March 23-25 in the Union Local Middle School auditorium at 7 p.m. Ticket prices are $7 for adults and $5 for children.
In "Grease", head "greaser" Danny Zuko and new girl, Sandy Dumbrowski, try to relive their summer romance as the rest of the gang sings and dances their way through songs such as "Summer Nights", "Greased Lightnin'", "Born to Hand Jive", and "We Go Together" among others.
Listen to the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation. An eight-year run on Broadway, two revivals, and innumerable school and community theatre productions, make "Grease" one of the world's most popular musicals.
Co-directors are Jenn Smolenak and Sheri McElroy. Choreographer is Megan Lattocha. McElroy said the broadway version contains different songs and scenes than the movie version. Auditions were held in November and the 45-member cast and crew has been practicing since January.

The cast also includes: Ciera Drake, Amy Hissrich, Kasey Litten, Saraina Wise, Morgan Edwards, Sadie McFarland, Sarah Bonnett, Nicole Puperi, Rebekah Large, Erin Edwards, Sammy Anderson, Secret McAfee, Kayley Violet and Kaitlyn Kelly.
