Chestnut Street, Barnesville, as we celebrate the Christmas season beginning with the 2013 “The Magic of Christmas” tours.   The beautiful decorations and the many Christmas trees showcase this exquisite 26-room Victorian mansion home.
Chairperson Emery Stewart III extends his appreciation and thank you to the following decorators who offer their time and talent to make the Mansion Museum sparkle for the Christmas season: Walton Avenue entrance and Inglenook – Jeffrey VanHorn;  The first parlor - The Flushing Garden Club: Donna Hirauk, Kathy Gibeaut, and Sue Milhorn and Cheryl Thompson; 2nd parlor – Carolyn Stephen;  dining room- Becky Keylor and Kathy Moxie; kitchen and butler’s pantry - Paula and Pauline Doudna;  powder room - Addison and Tracy Geiger (this is the fourth year Addison has decorated at the mansion-she is now 6 years old);  growlery - The Hospice of Guernsey, Inc.: Terri Wootoon, Debbie Gray, Thelma Monbarren, and Carolyn Dickson; nursery- Sue Milhorn, Mollie Calhoun, Susan McGary and granddaughters  Shayna, Mackenzie, Marrisa, Hallee and Edyn McGary; North bedroom- Nancy Gallagher and Melanie Bates; master  bedroom and bath- Pam Milburn, Barbara Hinkle and Susan McCracken; 2nd floor turret bedroom- Susan Folmar and Sandra Lemmon; music room, staircase and 2nd floor hall- Emery Stewart;  2nd floor bathroom and kitchen powder room- Bobbie Moore and Anita Rogers; maid’s room, formal entry and ballroom- the museum decorating committee, Emery Stewart, Judy Craig.
The Christmas tours begin on Saturday and Sunday, November 23 and 24 and will continue each Friday, Saturday and Sunday through December 21.  The holiday tour hours are Friday, 5-8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 1-4 p.m.   The admission fee is $5 for adults and $2 for ages 6-18.  Private tours for groups of ten or more are available at a reduced rate by reservation only, please call: (740) 423-2343, 425-1112, 740 425-2273 or 484-4716.
As a convenience to our many visitors, the Museum Christmas tours will be extended from December 26 through January 12, 2014 by reservation only.  Please call one of the above numbers to reserve a tour time.  The above fees apply.
