Morristown Tick-or-Treat

Trick or Treat will be held Wed., Oct. 31, 5:30-7 p.m.

Belmont Trick-or-Treat

The Village of Belmont will have Trick-or-Treat on Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 6-7 p.m. Residents participating are asked to have their porch light on.

Bethesda Trick-or-Treat

Bethesda trick-or-treat scheduled for Oct. 31

Trick-or-treat in the village of Bethesda will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 31. Costume parade line up at the Methodist Church at will be at 4:30 p.m. and the costume parade will begin at 5 p.m.

Costume judging will be held at the Municipal Building for the following categories: Most Original, Youngest, Prettiest, and Scariest.

Trick-or -treat will begin at 6 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m.

There will be treat bags handed out at the Municipal Building following the parade.

BHS Haunted House

Haunted House, Tuesday, October 30 at Barnesville High School. Times: 7-8 p.m. for grades K - 4 and 8 - 9 p.m. for Grades 5 - adult. The event is sponsored by the Class of 2016.

Kiwanis Halloween Parade and Pancake Breakfast

The Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Assumption Catholic Church Basement. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12 and includes all you can eat pancakes and sausage, as well as drinks. Tickets may be delivered to area businesses by call any Kiwanis member.

The Halloween Parade will be held the same day at 2 p.m. Line up is on Church Street behind the Antique Mall. Participants are asked to arrive by 1:30 to get a number for judging. Join the Barnesville High School marching band and village fire department and emergency squad who will be leading the parade from Church Street downtown on Main Street to the corner of West Main and Broadway streets at the steps of the elementary school gymnasium. Categories will include Spookiest Ghost, Ugliest Witch, Funniest and Cutest.

Immediately following the Halloween Parade, the Hearts in Service Group will be handing out hot dogs, drinks and treat bags at the Barnesville First United Methodist Church. All children, including parade participants are welcome.

Haunted Trail at L.A. Youth Camp

Oct. 26, 27 and 28, screams will fill the air at the L.A. Youth Camp (formerly Bonnie Belmont Girl Scout Camp) near the Belmont County Fairgrounds in St. Clairsville. Hours are Friday, 7-11 p.m.; Saturday, 7-11 p.m. and Sunday, 7-10 p.m. The cost is $6 per person and all proceeds help support the 53-acre camp.

Childrens Halloween Party at Centerville

The Smith Township Community Center will host a childrens Halloween Party on Saturday, Oct. 27 with costume judging, many childrens games, good food and fun.

Trick or Treating for the children will be between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. in the Centerville-Jacobsburg area. Please dress the children in warm clothing, have parental supervision and obey safety and traffic rules for a fun evening. At 7 p.m., costume judging will be held at the Community Center with cast prizes awarded in three categories; Prettiest, Ugliest and Most Original, in age categories - 2/under, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8-9, 10-11-12, 13 and older. There will be many games including burst the balloon, fish pond, lollipop tree, ring the bottle etc. The food table will feature hot dogs, hot sausage, pop, etc with a great variety of desserts. The community center would appreciate donations of miniature candy bars and 2 liter bottles of pop for prizes. Somerton Ridgerunners 4-H Club Halloween Party !

The Somerton Community Halloween Party will be held on Saturday Oct. 27 at 5:30 p.m. at the Somerton Firehouse. Anyone from the Somerton, Boston and Temperanceville area may participate. Admission to this event will be $1 or canned food for the food basket project. There will be a 50/50 drawing and door prizes. Refreshments will also be served. Categories are separated into three age groups, 0-6, 7-14, and 15 to adult. Ribbons will be given for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place and the overall grand champion will receive a trophy. Categories are: prettiest, scariest, best ghost, best witch, best clown, best couple, funniest and most original. This event is sponsored by the Somerton Ridgerunners 4-H Club and the Somerton Volunteer Fire Department. Proceeds from the party will go toward the Somerton area food basket and Christmas angel projects.
