Libraries are the heart of every community; National Library Week April 11-16

National Library Week will be celebrated at the Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library, April 11-16. Libraries everywhere play a vital role in supporting the quality of life in their communities.

As a service to the community, the library will be offering "Food for Fines" during this week. The library will forgive $1 worth of fines for every can or box of non-perishable food brought to the library. Up to $20 in fines will be waived, excluding lost or damaged items. All food items will be donated to the St. Vincent de Paul Society. We encourage those in our community to donate food to this cause. Please, no out dated food.

During the month of April please submit your favorite author or book for a suggested reading list during our New Adult Summer Reading Program. A drawing will be held from these submissions.

Patrons may also register for drawings throughout the week.

National Library Week is the perfect time to visit the library to take advantage of the many library resources available for everyone. You may also visit us at
