Christmas Craft Fair and Parade
Once again the Barnesville Chamber of Commerce will proudly sponsor the 2009 Christmas Craft Fair and Parade.
The Craft Fair will be held at the Elementary School from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It's the perfect place to do your holiday shopping for family, friends and other that we remember every holiday season. Merchandise available from the crafters include candles, wreaths, wooden crafts, baked goods, handmade jewelry and ornaments and much, much more.
The lighted Christmas Parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will light up our streets with beautifully decorated holiday floats. The parade also brings the most important person of all, the arrival of Santa!
In addition to all of this excitement, Santa will be stopping by Hometown Memories located at 163 E. Main Street in Barnesville to visit with the children right after the parade. (This is his favorite time!) There will be cookies and drinks (hot and cold) for all to enjoy while waiting for your time with Santa. You can even have your picture taken with him.
Anyone interested in participating in one or both of these holiday events will need to pre-register. Entry forms may be obtained at the Chamber of Commerce office or at Belmont Dodge Chrysler Jeep.
Parade line-up will begin at 3:30 p.m. at the Barnesville High School. Each entry must use Christmas lights. Trophies will be awarded in three categories for the best: Float, Walking Group and Horse Entry. No registration fee required for the parade.
If you are interested in participating in either or both of these events, call (740) 425-4300 for more information and to receive your registration form.
