Eagles hosting benefit for lung transplant patient

A benefit poker run and party for Debbie Brewer-Greiner will be held Saturday, Sept. 12 on the lower side of the Barnesville Eagles, 137 E. Main Street.

All proceeds from the benefit will go to Greiner, who is in need of a double lung transplant and needs helper with her medical expenses not covered by insurance. Part of the money is needed for testing at Cleveland Clinic.

The first bike will go out at 11 a.m. The last bike will go out at noon and be back by 5 p.m.

The entry fee is $10 per person drawing cards. The first 50 signing up will receive a free drink ticket (i.d. required). The winning hand will receive 50 percent of the amount taken in off of run. Everyone is welcome. Food and drinks will be available. An auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. Double Identity will perform at 8 p.m. There will also be a 50/50 drawing.

Donations are needed for the auction The following items are needed: paper or styrofoam plates, small serving bowls for side dishes, plastic forks and spoons, to go trays, aluminum foil, soda, bottled water, hamburger and hot dog buns, hot dogs, cans of chicken, Italian dressing and any other food items.
