Epworth Park Summer Concert series begin May 23

The line-up for the 2009 Music in Epworth Park Summer Concerts has been announced. The concerts are held in the open-air-covered auditorium in Epworth, N. Main Street, Bethesda .

The Cabin Boys will appear on Saturday, May 23 at 7 p.m. This group performs bluegrass and a mix of country music. The band members are from the Barnesville/Bethesda area.

On Saturday, June 20, 7 p.m., the ever popular Jack Marlin, from Cambridge makes a return appearance. Jack sings Country-Elvis- Gospel music.

The Epworth Park Chautauqua Homecoming weekend festival is July 11 and 12. Appearing Saturday, July 11 at 2 p.m. is a local group the "Almost Famous" band.

Bluegrass music/banjo pickin' and good foot stomping music rule this group performance.

Saturday, July 11 at 7 p.m., Haley Watson from Zanesville takes the stage. Haley brings the crowd into her performance and sings solid country songs. It's always a fun evening with Haley.

On Sunday, July 12 at 2 p.m. the New Mercy Gospel Band from Columbus performs. This group has local ties and presents gospel music in its finest.

Saturday, August 15 at 7 p.m., The Chrisagis Brothers return. These brothers do a great job on gospel and other types of music.

Haley Watson makes a repeat performance on Saturday, September 5 at 7 p.m. Haley "wows" the audience with a mixture of country music.

The food stand located at the park entrance opens a 6 p.m. During the Homecoming Festival in July the food stand is open all day. Admission is free although donations are appreciated.
