Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda By Becky Albertalli

Simon Spier is a 16--year-old and hiding a secret. He is gay. One day Simon emails someone from the school's website that he thinks is gay as well. From then on, Simon and the guy that hides under the username, Blue, start talking everyday. But when an email is read by someone popular in the school, Simon is blackmailed. Simon must follow the orders of his blackmailer or else his secret will be released to the school. Will Simon find out who Blue is?. Will his secret be revealed to the whole school?

I really enjoyed reading this story. The whole time I was guessing who Blue actually was and hoping Simon's secret would not be revealed. The relationship that Simon and Blue form over their emails was amazing to read and watch form. Simon and Blue are lovely characters that have a really cute relationship. I would give the book a five out of five stars and I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys contemporary books.
