I'm not a smoker, and I ask my family and friends that are smokers to smoke outside. But in my opinion, it is just plain wrong for cigarettes to be taxed any differently than a container of liquid soap. What will be next? Will it be that coke you are swigging on, maybe that Cafe' Latte you have up to your lips sipping on right now, or could it be that candy bar you are devouring as you read this?
Enough is enough. Government-- whether it is state or federal should stay out of what we can or can't eat, drink and whether or not we should smoke!
We as intelligent citizens know that smoking isn't any good for us. We are also smart enough to figure out, that if we drive through the fast food joints every day that we could get FAT-- unless we dine on salads and drink water.
Smoking or not, eating fast food or not, is our choice.
It is not up to the Government to penalize us for making the choices that freedom has allowed us to make.
