Military Service Peoples Rights

While discussion veterans situations as well as active duty people with the West Virginia Department of Veterans Affairs, I brought up something about the banks and other finacial organizations as suppose to reduce interest rates of mortgages and other loans. The people at W.V. Veternas Affirs said they would have to research this situation about the banks because they could not find it there mandates. I got a call back from Mike Craig and he said I was right about about people serving on Active Duty in a war zones are suppose to get a reduction to 6% on mortgages and other loans. This is from U.S. Code Title 50, which became a law in 1940 and then revised in 2003.

Mr Craig said he was going to inform all of the West Virginia Veteran Centers about this law.

So did banks here in the Ohio Valley, do this for the people who are protecting us from terrorism?

  • I left Barnesville for Dayton Ohio in 1962. I really enjoyed reading about historical events in the current edition of the Enterprise. Still remember many happy days In Bohandy's Restaurant and Harp's Restaurant, especially the fine food and great icecream. Best to all.
