Quarter Auction May 7
Barnesville Shamrock Football Quarter Auction will be held Sunday, May 7 at the Barnesville Elk's, 117 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, OH 43713. The doors will open at noon and the auction will begin at 1 p.m. There will be a 50/50 and Chinese auction. Come hungry and we will have lots of home cooked food to eat. 3 C Cancer Support Group meeting
The Three C Cancer Support Group will meet Monday, May 8. The meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Barnesville Senior Center. Please remember to bring your item(s) for our summertime basket for a Cutting Class for a Cure. This will be our last meeting until September.
BHS Class of 1965 Ladies meet May 5
The Ladies of the Barnesville High School Class of 1965 will have their monthly luncheon on Friday, May 5 at noon at Annie K's. Hope to see you there.
Flushing UMC Rummage Sale
A Rummage Sale will be held at the Flushing United Methodist Church, 301 High St., Thursday, May 4 and Friday, May 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All day Friday, all items that can be fit in a bag are $1. There will be bargains for everyone.
19th Annual Plant Swap
The 19th Annual Plant Swap, free and open to the public, will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 6 p.m. at the Belmont County Fairgrounds in the Wise Building, 45420 Roscoe Rd., St. Clairsville, OH 43950. Come for fun, bring plants with you and trade them for new ones. You can trade flowers, veggie plants, herbs, trees, shrubs, and more. Please label plants with name, color, etc. There will be a garden item raffle for two tickets for $1. Designer Bag and Vendor Bingo
Tri-County Help Center, Inc. is having a Designer Bag and Vendor Bingo on Saturday, May 6 from 12-:30 p.m. at Marion Hall, St. Mary's Catholic Church; St. Clairsville, OH 43950. Doors open at noon and games begin at 1 p.m.
Vendors will be set-up around the room to exhibit items and take orders. Vendors so far include: Premier Jewelry, Scentsy, LuLa Roe, Lime Light, Trades of Hope. All Bingo prizes will be designer handbags valued at $200-$600 from Coach, Kate Spade, and Michael Kors. A total of 10 games plus the coverall will be played. Tickets are $25 for 10 games; Coverall is $3; 50/50 tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the day.

Longaberger Bingo benefit for Cody Szabo
A Longaberger Bingo benefit for Cody Szabo will be held on Sunday, May 21 at 2 p.m. at the Barnesville Elks Lodge. Cody is currently enrolled as a freshman at Barnesville High School and has recently been diagnosed with an undetermined type of cancer. He is the son of Michelle and Steve Szabo.

Day With Herbs set for May 5
Wheeling Civic Garden Center, Oglebay park, will hold its annual "Day With Herbs" on Friday, May 5 at the Pine Room, Oglebay Park. An herbal luncheon and guest speaker Judith M. Toscano, ND is a health professional with an extensive and diverse background. She uses her knowledge and experience to motivate and empower people to make healthy lifestyle decisions. She holds certificate in Green Live Food Cuisine, Conscious Eating and Expanding Culinary Joy.
The 23rd Annual Herb Day luncheon will include fresh vegetables and crackers with dips, a main course, dessert, and herbal teas.

Belmont College board meeting
Belmont College will hold its monthly Board of Trustees meeting Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the Harrison County Center located in Cadiz, Ohio. The board workshop starts at 5 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 6 p.m.

The St. Paul Lutheran Church Annual Spring Quarter Auction will be held on Friday, April 28 at the Church, 56381 National Rd., Bridgeport, OH 43912. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the auction begins at 6:30 p.m.First paddle is $5 and each additional (limit three) is $1 each. Seating is limited. An elevator is available. There will be a huge, self-serve food bar, free door prizes, large Chinese auction, 50/50 drawing and three rounds.
